Switch iPhone from t-mobile to at&t?
I want to get the newest iphone coming out very soon and my friend offered me his upgrade (very kind of him) but he has a contract with t-mobile. I was wondering if there was any way to switch my iphone from t-mobile to at&t if i were to do this, how would i do it? Is it easy or hard, any help would be appreciated
Added (1). I don't understand what you're saying. My friend has t-mobile, i have at&t. My friend has an upgrade that he is letting me use but of course the upgrade would be for a t-mobile iPhone not an at&t one, but i need to switch it to at&t because that is my carrier
You'll need to open a new line with att and ask them to port over your number from tmobile.
Then the second thing you need to factory unlock your current iphone so it will work on att.
The easiest way to unlock iphone is go to ebay and search for factory unlock iphone, you can get it done with 5 dollars.
Att line cost more than tmobile I don't know thats a good idea though.
What's the point for all these? If your friend going to give you a tmobile iphone5s, why you want to switch to att?
- Would I be able to switch carriers without having to switch phones? I'm with Consumer Cellular and I have an iPhone SE, but I'm thinking of switching carriers so that I can get unlimited data. I don't want to get a new phone because I've had my current one about six months, I really like it, and it works great. I'm not locked into a contract with Consumer Cellular. Would I be able to switch to another carrier without having to purchase a new phone?
- IPhone AT&T, T Mobile sim switch issue? I have a iPhone 3GS I'm trying to do the T Mobile SIM card switch to get the MMS working. I bought the sim brand new on Ebay. When I insert the sim my phone displays "sim failure". Any suggestions? Does the sim need to be activated?
- If I buy an IPhone 4s from AT&T. Could I unlock it and switch it to T-Mobile? I'm just trying to avoid paying $550. Instead I want to pay $100. Appreciate the help thank you.
- How to switch from htc sensation to iphone on t-mobile? I want to switch it and all i know so far is that i need to cut my sim card into a micro sim and unlock the phone. Will i have to pay extra or will i not? Cause basically i'm just putting a sim card into another phone.
