Switching from 3G to 4G LTE?

Okay, so my iPhone 4s has severe screen damage and I can't type on it without it glitching out and acting like I tapped somewhere else. My friend gave me his spare Droid razr HD. We tried just switching sims but since my phone is a 3g phone it wouldn't take. What would I have to do to get my number switched to this phone? I'm extremely limited to options because my parents probably wouldn't take me to the store.could I do this online? Would my friend be able to take me up there without an adult or would my mom need to be there?

You would have to have your parents go to the store with you and get your number switched to an LTE sim card. It is not hard but you would have to go into the store and you would have to have your parents with you.

I have an iphone 4, iphone 4s and a 5 now and i know Metro pcs has been using sim cards for their 4G network instead of the CDMA and hence using the sim cards for service, so would i be able to use metro pcs on my iphone thats unlocked?   • Why won't my iPhone connect to LTE when switching from Wi-Fi? The LTE symbol is visible at the top of my phone. However, I still can't access the internet or Siri. This happens when I'm out of Wi-Fi range and trying to switch into LTE. I tried turning on/off the Wi-Fi and Data connection. It seems the only solution is to shut off my phone and turn it back on. However, this is too inconvenient.
