Switching sim cards, iPhone
I recently got an iPhone 5c. I need to get my sim card switched over to a nano-sim, but this will take time as it is boxing day and nothing is open. I'm with amaysim, and at home we have a vodafone nano sim. If I use the vodaphone nano sim to set up my phone (as they can't be set up without a sim card) will I be able to switch sim cards later with no problems? Thank you!
Added (1). How do you find out if the phone is locked?
If the phone is unlocked then you can just activate the iPhone 5C with your Vodafone nano-SIM.
- Will T-Mobile have nano-sim cards when the new iphone comes out? I want to buy an unlocked new iphone when it comes out and use it for T-Mobile, but since the new iphone will most likely be using nano-sim cards. I want to know if T-Mobile will have nano-sim cards by the time the new iphone is released.
- Will switching sim cards from one iphone to another work? Basically my iphone 4s charging port will not work and won't charge normally and stays at about 5 percent. It also won't connect to my PC. To avoid using i cloud and everything can i just switch one sim card to the new iphone 4s and will all my memory be on there? If not what will?
- When switching my sim to an iphone do I have to wait for the sim to shut off first? I'm transferring my number from a normal sim to a micro sim for my new iphone. I did what they told me to do in the shop and now i'm to wait for my original sim to lose signal before i can put the new one into the iphone. Is it okay for me to go ahead and do that before the original sim loses signal or do I have to wait?
- Taking out sim cards and cellular data on iPhone 4s? Currently I'm in a different country and do not want any unexpected charges to pop up on my bill when I return. My sim card is out but I still send emails and browse the internet using the local wi-fi from my location; since the sim card is out, I won't be charged? Also, what is cellular data? Like I said, I took out my sim card and data roaming is disabled but cellular data is turned on, I won't be charged for it being on since the sim card isn't inserted, correct?
