Syncing iPhone songs onto iTunes?
Okay so what I want to do is make ringtones on my iPhone 4s. But in order to do that I have to sync my iPhone to iTunes. Which I haven't done yet with my phone. I have 60 songs that i bought on itunes store on my phone but I don't want to lose them. And i heard if I sync my phone to the computer that it will wipe everything out of it? So is there any way to sync the songs and all the apps and media from my phone onto itunes on my laptop?
If you bought the songs on iTunes then you can sign in and iTunes will add them or, plug in your iPhone, right click your iPhones name, Click transfer purchases
Whoever said that, was lying.syncing doesn't erase anything, it just transfers it to your computer(but it will still be on your iphone too) just incase you get a new iphone/ipad/ipod touch you won't lose them and have to rebuy it all
You can also backup all your iPhone media stored within the phone to iTunes. So backup and then add those songs to iTunes check into the sync setting.
If properly done you want loose anything nor anything will be overwritten either ways.
In fact, once you've put the songs or video on iPod or iPhone, you can get them out of iPod or iPhone and put them on computer.
If the songs are purchased from iTunes. You can easily transfer them to iTunes or computer by clicking "Transfer purchase". If your stuff are downloaded from other website. You can transfer them to computer with iPod transfer. Like this one:

- Will syncing my new iPhone remove my songs on iTunes? Hi, I just got a new phone and I'm confused! I've got an iPod Touch will over hundreds of songs on my iTunes. If I plug my new iPhone in to the computer, will I be to transfer my iTunes songs on to my phone without it deleting anything? Will this make a difference when I plug my iPod into the computer? Haha I don't know much about phones tbh!

- Why aren't all my songs syncing onto my iPhone? I just got my iPhone last week, and after I synced all my songs (590 of them) to my computer, I tried to sync them onto my iPhone. However, only 345 of them are syncing. In iTunes the box next to "Sync Music" and "Entire Music Library" is checked. Down at the bottom the bar that shows how much music, apps, photos, etc.shows that I have 590 songs, but once I click "Apply" it syncs, but the bar reduces to only 345 songs!
