Syncing iPhone to a new computer?

I've followed all the steps that were on http://osxdaily.com/2012/02/29/sync-iphone-new-computer-without-losing-data/ to sync my Iphone to another computer, i've moved all my stuff over to my new computer but when i connect my iphone it says it couldn't be read and that i need to restore it. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

In iTunes on the new computer, have you set up your Apple account and authorized the computer?
