T-mobile false advertising cost me £800?
Basically 23 1/2 months ago my grandfather took out a contract on an iPhone for me at £15 something something (i was 15 at the time. I found out earlier that there had been some very large bills, they told my grandfather that this was due to internet usage however my plan was stated to be 50 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited inter net. Can this money be recovered? Or am i really just in serious trouble:/ ?
When they say unlimited, it never is, its about 100mb which is nothing. They shouldn't be allowed to do this but they've done it for years and doubt they will change now. You can try and talk to them but they will say that you accepted the terms and conditions etc.
You don't start off by attacking what they have done, you ask on what basis they have done it
Cos if your contract says one thing and they can't justify why they have done what they did, then they are in breach of that contract and they have no right to charge you for it.
So you write to them or email and ask when did the unlimited texts and unlimited internet in your phone plan become limited text and limited internet, cos as far as YOU are aware that on the basis of the contract they werent owed 1 penny extra no matter how much internet was use
And on this basis why did they charge the (extra?) £800
cos if they can't justify why the charges were made then you expect a refund or will issue a claim in small claims court.
(there's usually a "fair usage" term in the contracts
if they mention this then ask who determines what is fair usage and on what basis, and what has it got to do with unlimited access)
- What's the better option: Nokia Lumia 800 or Sony Xperia U? Features obviously. is the xperia U screen the same size as the iphone 4? Is it good in hands when using it, applications are pretty amazing right compared to windows and iphone correct? Because the XU is an android no?
- What should i spend my 800 dollars on? I already have an iphone, ipod touch, ipad, a camera, a computer, DSI, and 9 pets also, i'm an 11 year old girl
- Selling a fake iphone case but not advertising the brand illegal? My friend had made a purchase of over 100 fake top brand(leave the brand out for now) Iphone cases for a very cheap price and sold them cheaply thru eBay. Ebay quickly took his listing as he was actually advertising the brand in his listing. After much frustration he gave up on the cases and gave them to me. Is it legal to sell these cases without mentioning the brand at all? Simply selling non brand Iphone cases isn't illegal right?
- Is the nokia lumia 800 worth it? I'm thinking of selling my iphone 3g 8gb for a nokia lumia 16gb contract on three this year i love it's specs like windows 7.5 and 1.5GHz with a 8mp camera i'm massively into computers hacking and gaming i was originally going to get this for the camera and games but i don't want to pay like £400 for a iphone 5 or 4 because i know it is not worth it in your opinion how good do you think it is!
