Telus: Getting out of a BB contract and into a iPhone?

Okay, so currently I'm in a 3 year contract with Telus and I have a Blackberry. In September, it will be the end of my first year in said contract. Once before and once just recently, my Blackberry has malfunctioned and gotten that white screen. I've gotten it repaired once before and now I just don't see the use.

Roughly, how much do you think it would cost me to get out of my 3 year contract (with 2 years left) and enter that of a iPhone 4S? Mind you, I'm contemplating whether just buying an actual iPhone 4S without a plan and switching the Sim card would be cheaper. No clue!

Just call your carrier? Maybe they have an early upgrade price.

The BB is still under warranty so you should send it for free repair.

If you decide to not terminate and just buy a 4S you may run into issues with your current plan if it is not compatible to an iPhone (ie Blackberry Only Plans that include BBM and have smaller amounts of included data). New 4S devices cost from $650-$850 depending on the model. Used models can be found on Kijiji/eBay for less.
