Text message name shows last name instead of first on iPhone 5S?
I have changed the contacts to be first, last for mail, contacts, calendars but it's still only showing the person's last name in the text message. How do I change it to show the full name or the first name?
Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars
Scroll down to Contacts section
Select short name
Enable short name
Select 'First Name Only' or whatever you prefer.
- Will my message be delivered if sent as text message on iphone? My friend said that she was having phone problems earlier today. My message was being sent as an imessage, but I guess she wasn't receiving everyone of them, just getting the notifications that they were sent to her but she couldn't read them. I then responded to her, but it was sent as a text message this time and i have gotten no response. I'm not as much concerned about her responding or not, I just want to know if she will receive the message.
- Why does it say imessage instead of text message? I have an iphone and whenever i txt my cousin who was a recent iphone user, but now she uses htc, it says imessage instead of a regular txt message so she doesn't receive my texts.
- When I go to text a new message on my iPhone, the persons name and phone number comes up gray? Ok so I went to go start a new chat with a person on my iPhone, and their name and number came up grey? The other names and numbers are coming up either blue or green except for like 3 others that are coming up grey. What does this mean?
- My iPhone shows up as a camera instead of an iPhone? I need help on this. I'm trying to put my music from my iPhone onto my computer (iTunes will not allow you to do this) by using a music program that allows you to do so. The way it works is that you select the iPhone to import with, then it brings the music onto the computer. The only problem is that I Can't DO THIS, because my iPhone shows up as a camera when I plug it into my computer. How can I make it show up as an iPod/iPhone/Music device?
