Text message problem.iPhone?

So my friend and I were texting and for some reason we both can't access the messages app. It shows up a white screen and all you can see is the time bar and battery. I Can't RESTORE MY PHONE. It's not and option. So what are we supposed to do? It's basically "frozen." I'm not sure how much more detail I can give there's really not much to it and we've Already tried turning off the phone deleting the app when you double tap the home button and I don't know what else to do so if you could help that'd be great

Trying using the online forum at Apple online. They have a Support "Community" that you can find answers from old questions and also ask news questions.

  • Will my message be delivered if sent as text message on iphone? My friend said that she was having phone problems earlier today. My message was being sent as an imessage, but I guess she wasn't receiving everyone of them, just getting the notifications that they were sent to her but she couldn't read them. I then responded to her, but it was sent as a text message this time and i have gotten no response. I'm not as much concerned about her responding or not, I just want to know if she will receive the message.
  • Why could i have gotten a text message with no text box? Yesterday morning, I looked at my smart phone ( android) and I got a text from someone. I clicked on the contact's text and there was no message, no blank bubble, nothing. It just looked like one of us was getting ready to start a conversation but no message was sent. (Extra info: I may be wrong but I think this certain contact has an iphone.) What could cause this? I don't want to ask the person because it would be extremely awkward.
  • When I text other iPhones why is it sending as a text message? I have an iPhone 4 I was on AT&T and I just switched to straight talk. In my setting I have all the iMessage and everything turned on. Sometimes it will work whenever I text another iPhone but most of the time it won't. I have tried turning the phone off and back on. It's really irritating. If someone could help me that would be great.
