Texting and facetiming in other countries with the iPhone
Okay i have at&t, and I have the iphone 4s, its all completely updated and everything. This summer i went to Australia and met some really great people! But right now were only talking by snapchat, which gets annoying after a while. They all have iphones as well, so my question is, does it cost money to imessage them in australia? FaceTime/call? If so, would turning our phones on airplane mode fix that? I read somewhere that you won't get charged if its on airplane mode but that couldve been a myth.
Lastly, do you know of any way if i can't text or call them without getting charged? I could use my landline but thats not very convenient. Maybe an app or something.
please only answer if your 100% sure thank you! Xoxo
You can FaceTime and iMessage for free around the word using AT&T's network or your own or someone else's Wi-Fi (data charges will apply). If you use Wi-Fi, you won't be using AT&T's network.
- Will my Iphone 5 work in other countries? I've got an iphone 5 and my family and I are thinking of going to America for a holiday. I want to use my phone there aswell. Do i have to unlock or get a new sim from America? I'm not quite sure what to do.
- Will iphone 5 from other countries work in india? IPhone bought in other countries such as UK, USA or any other countries work in India. It may be the unlocked version. What date might it be released?
- Why isn't facetiming in the iphone working? I have the latest update of ios but my friend has ios 5.1 and whenever we try to facetime it says call droped. And my friend refuses to update his phone
- Why does electronic devices in Turkey cost much more than other countries? For example an iphone 6s would cost 700 dolars (roughly 1.700 turkish lira) but when you look at the turkish apple store it says 2.600 turkish lira. Plus if you buy from another country you have to pay an arm and a leg to get it from customs. Why?
