Mail app doesn't open on iphone?

Back-up & factory reset. Or if you are on 7.0.6, or lower, then update to 7.1.
And remember, Apple Sucks.
- On my iPhone, my mail, calendar, safari, and maps won't open Hey… So I tried jailbreaking my phone and it didn't work. Anyways, after I stoped trying to jailbreak it, I realized that some of the apps that you can't delete (Mail, Calendar, Safari, and Maps) won't open! They just keep crashing! I really would like these apps to work again so I can use them while I'm on the go. I already tired the dumb little things like turning my phone off and then back on… But it doesn't seem to work!
- Mail banner on iPhone doesn't come up? Whenever i mail someone (using the mail app on iPhone) and someone mails me back, a banner does not come up, i checked the settings on Notifications and webt to Mail but it seemed everything was ok in the settings but a banner never cones up, only when i actually GET IN the app.
- Iphone whatsapp doesn't show new messages until i open the app? I have an Iphone 4, and when people send me messages on whatsapp i don't get any notifications, and no sign on the whatsapp app on the background. When i open the app, than i see new messages appear. Why does that happen and how can i fix this?
- Inbox shows 1 unread mail but there's no mail, shows on iphone also? There's no mail to read, not in trash, spam, nothing is there and nothing mail wise is missing…
