New generation of teens?
Hi I'm Ryan, 15 years old, just about to start year 11 and I live in England in a small town.
I have noticed in my school and area there's a great rise in 'chavs' I feel honestly ashamed to be brought up with these people. I'm one of the rare 'good' kids, never gets in trouble in school, friendly, well mannered and never try to be some one I'm not to impress others… Hence why I'm not a chav, so as you guessed I'm not popular in my school, (too be popular now requires you to be a drug user, an alcoholic and loose your virginity at the age of 13).
My real question is, how has this all happened? I see children of aes 11+ acting so… Naughty, maybe cheesy but the only real way to describe them. Today I was just casually walking and some year 8 (12/13 year old) thinks it's okay to smack me in the face with paper as they walked pass me with their group of friends, "lol innit blad, yea fam" ect ect. With their trousers down to their ankles. And there's me carrying on, acting like it didn't happen. When in fact anyone else my age would of responded: "You wat blad? You wanna fight?" or something along the lines of that…
Most of us are born in the 90's a pretty good decade, now children are being raised with iPhone's and x box's, I see children aged 8 with iPhone's, I still own an Nokia from 2006… Especially young children i see with no manners, acting like wannabe gangstas! Swearing, I'm honestly ashamed of my generation.
What will it be like in the future, when we're the future parents and leaders of the world? The chav today would be a normal class in the future? Will we train how to hold knifes instead of learning Shakespeare in English! Madness.
What do you think is the reason behind all of this?
Madonna started it. DMX contributed a little. Music. Love it - by we try and live it.
This stuff was there in the 90s and 80s. And Please don't start on the iPhones and Xboxes bull. Just don't. But as another person said, a LOT of music did start this in the 90s. I'm in America, and I don't know what chavs are, but I think I get your point.
Honestly, I have no idea what the reason is (actually, I do have a few ideas, most of which are religious in nature). In any case, it sounds like you've got a really good head on your shoulders. I, too, think it's sad to see society going the direction it is.
- Where could I find new previous-generation Apple products for sale? I'm currently in the market for a new computer. I love Apple products (My last main computer was a MacBook, and I use an iPhone), but I actually liked their last generation iMac computer better than the one that was just announced. Is there a company that sells brand-new previous-generation Apple products? Each time Apple announces a new product, I've got to think that there are shelves of unsold previous-generation products still to be bought.
- What generation is the new ipad (with the iPhone 5 charger)? I have 'the new ipad' it has the same charger as the iPhone 5 and well I want to buy a microphone specifically for my ipad but I need to know what gen my ipad is so I don't buy some microphone that only works with the older iPads.
- Teens why are people so in love with the Iphone? I mean the phone is small, and its hard to get the battery out of it. Maybe the only reason why people like it is because its made by APPLE AM I RIGHT?
- Teens who have an iPhone/iPod touch? If you use Wi-Fi at school, does your school block imessage/textfree and other apps like that? CuZ at mine, I know they block youtube and twitter and stuff like that. I'm not sure about imessaging/facetime or whatever. Any experiences at your school? i'm planning on getting the ipod touch 5g thats why i wanna know
