Simpsons Tapped Out on iPhone - Working Tips Please?

What is the quickest way in earning money? And getting donuts!
I'm upto level 27 but just struggling with getting money… And is quite frustrating as you know the higher the level and more you expand things get more expensive!

Any helpful tips would be So greatly appreciated

For Donuts, if you haven't already done so, you can get 10 free donuts and a statue of springfield's founder by making homer play with his myPad and tap him 10 times. The most effective way I've found is to build a lot of cheap houses, and collect them quicker to buy more expensive houses. I don't know if this will work, but it worked well for me.

Besides tapping homer 10 times, there really is no good way to get donuts except to buy them.

Last Christmas, you could trade in 50 gold coins for 1 donut. You'll probably have to wait until December to get the houses to generate gold coins.

You can try cleaning up Springfield, but don't expect to get a whole lot of donuts. I got 2 so far.

For money, I just have them do 8 or 12 hour tasks because that's the most convenient for me. I have them do 8 hour tasks before I go to work. Then after work, I have them do 12 hour tasks. The longer the tasks, the smaller the reward. 3 8-hour tasks earns more money and experience than 1 24 hour task. So if you can play every hour, have them do 1 hour tasks.

You can buy a buttlload of brown houses because it generates money fast, but I think it's just too tedious having to tap every minute or so, and the reward isn't worth the trouble.
