Things to do on long car trips?

I'm in the car with my grandma for 7 hours tomorrow. I already have my computer, iphone, and a word search book. Any other suggestions? Btw I'm 15.

Most modern laptops have a DVD player. Bring a movie to watch.

You may want to consider something to keep this electronic gear going for 7 hours without depleting the batteries. You may want to get a power inverter. These devices plug into a 12 volt socket or cigarette lighter socket and convert 12 volt DC power into 120 volt AC power. This way you could bring along your chargers for these devices and keep them fully charged for the trip.

One other suggestion. Have a nice long visit with your grandmother. Appreciate them. They won't be around forever.

I guess it all depends on how intelligent your are. If you are an intelligent young person, then a long car ride through new and different countryside is an adventure and everything you see will be exciting. But of course if you are one of those stupid idiotic young people that have to be artificially entertained every waking moment and you have to be texting and phoning people all day long because you can't entertain yourself, then it will be tedious for you. The chance to be in a car with your grand mother for that length of time should also be interesting because it will give you the chance to have a long talk with her. You can learn all about your family history and the things that grandma did when she was your age, but then if you are one of these silly people that can't hold a conversation for 30 seconds and everything you say is "well like you know, omg and wow" then it is going to be a long ride. Let me give you this one piece of advise, out of courtesy to your grandma, turn your phone off when in the car, it is the highest bad manners to be talking to someone else when you are in the car with your grandma. I know you will enjoy the ride.

I don't care what you do on a car trip/thats an opinion not a question/either fly or sit there and be quiet

  • What is the best solar charger for backpacking trips? I just got a Goal Zero Nomad 3.5 from REI but i'm not too sure that i'm gonna like it. I'm going on a 9 day camping trip in North Carolina and will need to keep head lamp, iphone, and GoPro charged. I'm not too sure that this little thing can do it. I do want something small and lightweight so its easy to carry on a backpack. Any suggestions?
  • What are those things that let you play music through the radio in your car? I got my sisters old car and it's older so it doesn't have a way for an iPhone to connect to it. She used to have this thing that you could put into the cigarette lighter (or the little power thing) and you could connect your iPhone to it and the songs would play over the radio but it broke so I want to buy a new one and I don't know what they're called.
  • What are fun things to do in a 10 hour car ride? My kids want to know there 12 and 10. And both have iPhone's. Are there any fun games on the app store?
  • Things to do in the car / good apps for iphone? So I'm going away for 1 night tomorrow (Monday) and I want to know some good things to keep a 12/13 year old occupied. I don't want to take loads of stuff in the car so is there any apps on the iPhone which are really entertaining? Don't leave comments saying 'read a book' or 'talk to people' because 1. I can't read in the car as it makes me sick and 2. Isn't talking a bit obvious?
