Transferring number from old sim card to new?
Okay, say if you get a new phone (iPhone to iPhone 4) you take it to the store and get them to change your number from your old simcard to the new one that fits the new iPhone 4. Does the old phone not work anymore? And does all your contacts, photos etc stay on the old phone or go to the new phone with the new sim card?
The phone will still work it will just not have service on it. You can keep all your contacts, pictures apps others things by backing up your phone to itunes and restoring them to your new phone the sim card only gives you your wireless service
You should be able to save all you contacts to your sim, then put the sim in the new phone, then restore the contacts to your new phone.
- Transferring old iPhone pics into new iPhone? I bought an iPhone 5s yesterday. My old phone was a 4s. I had a lot of important pictures on it. How can I put them all in my new phone's camera roll? I really don't want to download them from iTunes because that will put them in a folder that can only be manipulated from my laptop. I want them in my regular camera roll. Can I use photo stream to send them to my new phone and save them from there? Is there any way I can use iCloud to transfer them?

I'm looking at buying an iphone and i was wondering if telstra can transfer my number and 1cent text option etc, from my prepaid next g sim card onto a micro sim for an ipone. I couldn't find it on their website or anything.
- Transferring everything from old to new iphone? My iphone 4 was stolen, but i still have an old iphone 3.normally when you buy a brand new iphone, i know that when you connect it to your computer it automatically puts everything from your old iphone on your new one (contacts, pictures etc.) But the one i want to use now has a lot of old stuff on it, its basically not "empty". When i plug it into the computer i don't see the option to put everything from my old phone on the new one. How can i do this?
- Old iPhone with old sim card? Mum just got a new iPhone, so gave her old one to my sister. My sister did not have an appropriate sized sim card, so they guy at the store cut it down. Mum's new sim card is working, but when we put my sisters in the old phone, it just keeps saying no service. What do we do? Can we use it or not?
