Traveling internationally, iPhone is sending iMessages but not text messages?
I'm from America but I'm living in the UK for a while. My iPhone will send iMessages with or without Wi-Fi, but will never send regular texts to android phones. This was happening when I had my American SIM card as well as my new UK SIM card. Any suggestions?
You need a plan that allows it, check with your carrier. Imessages don't care where you are and are always free.
- Will Sprint Unlock My iPhone if I'm Traveling Internationally? I'm going to Philippines with my friend in two months and I was wondering if Sprint would unlock our iPhones. If they will, would it be free? Cause I plan on using it in Philippines. We're just going to buy a sim card. When I was with T-Mobile, they unlocked my phone for China.
- Will iMessage cost me when I'm traveling internationally but on Wi-Fi? I have an iPhone 4 and I'm in Canada however my standard plan just includes the states. I'm currently connected to my aunts Wi-Fi and I wasn't sure if by using iMessage I would have to pay international roaming rates or if it would be free still since I'm on Wi-Fi?
- Why won't my iPhone 4S make or receive calls when traveling internationally? Celluar data is turned off because i don't want to get charged. My phone worked the first week I was in France. Now it doesn't work, still in France. My phone doesn't detect calls and when i dial numbers it doesn't ring
- Why is my iPhone5 sending some messages as iMessage and others as Text Messages? I understand that messages are sent as Text Messages when there's no signal or poor Wi-Fi connection. However, I'm successfully texting some people using iMessage but others (still iPhone users) as Text messages. The other person will send iMessages and then my responses will be sent as green Text Messages.
