Trouble with iPhone Internet pt 2?

So, someone answered my previous question but I don't know how to ask another thing on the same one sort of thing? So, if I wasn't connected to the houses Wi-Fi before how was my phone getting Internet then? And can't I use that same source now while the router is off? All other wifis in this area are locked.

--- smartphones get internet by ONLY TWO ways… Wi-Fi or a DATA PLAN… If Wi-Fi is OFF, then Data plan is ON… If Data plan is OFF, then Wi-Fi is ON… Its simple. So either you were still connected to YOUR Wi-Fi… Or someone elses Wi-Fi… Or your Wi-Fi app was OFF and you were using your data plan… Call your wireless carrier to confirm that you were using or not using your data plan at xx: xx timeframe… Most carriers have a free feature fore this, usually *DATA# or #DATA, depending on your carrier

And can't I use that same source now while the router is off?
---if the router is off, you have no Wi-Fi… The router is what gives off the Wi-Fi signal… Its like a radio… Want to listen to music, turn on the radio (want to get on the internet, turn on the router)… Of the radio is off, you aint jamming! LOL

All other wifis in this area are locked.
--- if you so… And this is true… And there are NO other open Wi-Fi spots… Then… The only logic choice left is--- your using a data plan… Or your an alien with super powers… LOL

  • Why does my iPhone still charge for Internet even when I'm not using Internet? So, I recently got a pay monthly plan with my new iPhone 4s. When i'm out and about I'm usually updating my twitter and Facebook account. But, when I'm put my phone down, 3G still says I'm using it and charging me. So do I have to turn it off when i'm finished? Or is there a much easier way?
  • My Iphone is not letting me access the internet or internet based apps? I have an Iphone 5. Never had any issues but now it won't connect to the internet or any apps. It does the same thing it does when I have no service (just has that little circle symbol that means it's trying to get through). Orginally, I thought it must be a universal problem but everyone else has service and they are in the same location as me. Also I always use my phone here with no problems. I have tried turning it off and on again but nothing.

  • Internet with internet card? I would like to use USB connect threw my iphone but nothing is showing up do I have to have a network card in computer to use USB or have a wired connection
