Ok. You can find the option in Settings under General

Go to the Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Contents & Settings. Make sure you backup to your iTunes or iCloud before doing the reset.

There's 2 ways to do this…

OPTION A) Via the Phone itself -- This is the easiest option as there's extra hardware needed.

Just go into Settings -> General -> Reset & select the "Reset Phone". You will need to confirm this TWICE (as you'll have two warning screens).

OPTION B) Utilize Recovery Mode -- This is the harder option to complete, as you need a computer with iTunes for this… But it can be done on any iPhone, even ones that you're locked out on (where you forgot your lock screen password / PIN, but NOT for an activation lock from "Find My iPhone").

Turn the phone completely off. Then hold down the home button when you turn the phone on. This places the phone into "Recovery Mode" for 15 minutes & you'll see a "Connect to iTunes" graphic. While the phone is in "Recovery Mode", connect it to a computer running iTunes. ITunes will recognize an iOS device in recovery mode & ask if you want to reset to factory settings. Just confirm this (you'll likely be asked to confirm this twice as well).

IMPORTANT NOTE: If the iPhone is locked via the Activation Lock feature (with "Find My iPhone"), the factory reset will still happen, but the Activation Lock will kick in during the initial set-up as the iPhone MUST connect to Apple's servers as part of it's activation process & will ask for the login information of the user that locked it (typically the rightful owner). If you lost access to your iTunes account, you'll have to contact Apple in an attempt to recover it (& get verbally probed in the process).
