Un-jailbreaking a iPhone 3gs?

I jail broke my iPhone 3gs, and it is a tethered jailbreak, I'm trying to sort of… Upgrade it to a un tethered jailbreak, but when I try, I get: Error: Device is already jailbroken.

So how do I go about sort of taking the jailbreak off, and re jailbreaking it.

Go to Cydia and download Rocky Racoon, this will make it untether. You need to be in a firmware that support untether, if not, you need to upgrade a the latest firmware and re-jailbreak.

  • Will jailbreaking my iPhone do anything bad? I want to jailbreak my phone, and i have a softwear thing for it or whatever, but i just don't know if it will mess up my phone at all?
  • Will Jailbreaking my iPhone 3GS ruin my unlock? I have an AT&T iPhone 3GS on 6.1.3 (I know there's no jailbreak for it yet, but I know an untethered is being made) and I have it unlocked to be used with T-Mobile. If a untethered jailbreak comes out for 6.1.3, will my unlock be ruined and not let me use my T-Mobile services? ps. I have it unlocked, not jailbroken, so I don't have cydia
