Under iPhone 4 home button replacement

During a replacement on an iPhone 4, the small circular silver tab under neath the home button attached to the iPhone body flung off and now the home button doesn't do the clicking. What is this part called as I'm trying to replace it.

The best thing to do would be to go to the Apple Store. If you have a warranty under 1 year (if you have had your phone for less than a year) then they will fix/replace your iPhone for free!

  • When I press the lock button OR the home button.iPhone? When I press the lock button OR the home button, my iPhone takes a screenshot. It does the sane thing when I press the lock and home at the same time, but I know that it's supposed to happen
  • My home button and lock button don't work on my iphone 4 Okay so about 2 weeks ago my lock button stopped working and I don't know why so I went to mts store and they said to go to the apple store and i haven't been able to go yet and then tonight I was on my phone then I went to eat dinner so i put it in my sweater pocket then after dinner i took my phone out and it wan't responding! Is there anything I can do right now other than going to an apple genius? It's like 9 at night!
  • Loose home button after screen replacement? I recently replaced my iphone 6 screen after it was shattered. A few days ago, i feel the home button is loose. If you tap the button with the edge of your nail it rocks back and forth like a see-saw. I went back to the apple store and the worker said that it was normal after a screen replacement since the old (original screen) was attached to this button. I was slightly reliefed but i'm still annoyed. The touch ID and button overall still work. What can i do? Is this really normal?
  • Is there an iPhone app to go to the home screen? My Home button isn't working well? IIm afraid my home button will completely stop working soon enough, and i don't currently have money to replace it. I really only need the home function, but it would be really nice if it also had a screenshot function (because screenshots need the home + lock combo) Edit: If it makes any difference, my phone is an iPhone 3GS (old, lol) and has iOS 6.1.6.
