Unknown caller on iPhone creeping me out?
This morning at exactly 9:00 am, I got a call. On the iPhone, where it usually says the name of the person if they're in my contacts, it just said unknown. I answered it, and when I Did, a red dot appeared on the top black part of the iPhone above the speaker where I can hear the person talking. Nothing was said, just two beeps and I didn't say anything either, but that creeped me out so I hung up. The call was a total of 2 seconds because I was too chicken to let myself hear anything else. Right when I hung up, the dot went away. What is this? My friend said her cousin had the same thing happen to her but they don't know what it was either. I tried calling them back by clicking on them in the recents but it wouldn't let me. What or who is this?

Its probably a prank call or something. Just ignore it.
- When you Block Caller on iPhone, does it completely block them or do they show up as Unknown? I routinely "Block Caller" telemarketers, so does using the iPhone "Block Caller" option block all calls, or will the calls still come through and just show up as "Unknown"? I've received a lot of "Unknown" phone calls lately, so that's what I was attributing it to.
- What's the difference between an 'unkown' caller and 'no caller ID'? This unknown number keeps ringing me, and i thought if someone blocked their numbers (on iphones) it comes up as no caller ID so i'm not sure if it is still a blocked number or a number that can't come trhough. But when i answer nobody speaks and they've rang one of my friends so its not a scam phone call also they don't speak at all so if it was a company of some sort they must of spoken so its probably a prank call but i wanna know the difference to make sure.
- Unknown caller keeps calling? Me and my friend were prank calling In N Out and McDonalds but we didn't talk, we just made random funny noises and hung up. A couple minutes later I get a call titled "Unknown." I didn't answer. Yet all night that person tried calling me. Any advice? Am I in trouble? I'm using an iPhone 5 with iOS 7.

And know his number to make sure he's one of my friends? But i can't call him back and i can't see his number because on my iphone 4 which i'm using doesn't come with a display name. So everyone who calls me is unknown is there a way that i could call them back or maybe get their number
