IPhone in water for a second?
It fell in toilet for about a second before I got it out. It had a case on I dried it checked it was working, it was working fine. I have completely turned it off now tho. Will it be alright?
Its better to hv it check, don't use it becos it might cause more problems later on.
It might still be wet. So you should try and dry it.
take the sim card etc out to make sure they arent broken and let the phone dry.
Keep it turned off then stick it in a bag of rice for 24 hours. The rice sucks the water out instead of just letting it evaporate. Your SIM card won't get damaged but if you water forms a link between the battery and the sensitive electronics in your iphone it's going to break.
Don't use it. Trust me even if its working, you shouldn't use it. Electricity and water don't mix. I'm guessing there still is some water in there, so I suggest you keep it powered off, and put it in a bag of rice for a couple it days. Just fill a container or zip lock bag with some plain white rice and submerge your phone in it. The rice will absorb all the moisture. Better yet you could put the bag/container of rice near the sun by a window.
Put it in a warm but not humid room for about 2 hours or put it inn sunlight for about 1 hour, that should heat it up and take out all the water. Your warranty is dead now though so if it does get broken, your out of luck
- My iPhone has water in it how can I get the water out? I got a little bit of water in it at my pool and it shutoff within a minute or so, it won't turn back on and I have had it in rice for over 10 hours.
- Keep dropping my iphone in water for just a second? I like to listen to my phone in the bath but sometimes it gets knocked in for a second can it damage it badly because a always wipe it off straight away i've dropped it in twice so far and the only thing thats happened is the speaker stops working for a couple of hours
- Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
- Iphone submerged in water, logic board has water damage? My phone was under water for 10 sec. Atleast and in my wet pocket for about 2 minutes. Led wouldnt turn off and power / lock button didn't work… Put it in rice and two days later i charge it apple logo pops up then writing pops up above the apple logo. Will the guy taking my phone to clean it out and try to fix it need my passcode? And will my contacts, apps, photos, music, internet history still be on my phone? Like when he fixes it turns and on and stuff?
