Useless Iphone.stupid policy?

So several months ago i dropped my Iphone4 into the toilet (don't laugh) so it wouldnt turn on. I looked online for an apple genius bar appointment but there wasn't one for quite some time. As i urgently needed my phone, i went to the next best thing. I took it to a local repairr shop - but as it wasn't apple, they couldnt fix it. So i bookedan apple appointment and today i went there. After lining up for ages and ages, they finally told me they would be able to fix it but can't because when they checked the phone, there was some parts of it that weren't frfom apple, meaning someone who wasn't apple, opened up the phone. Which was the of course the shop i had gone to. They said its their policy and there's nothing they can do and they won't fix the iphone so its a piece of metal. What should i do? What can i do with the phone now? I'm also very annoyed

That is how Apple and many other companies work, if someone else has opened up the phone they won't repair it because they can't guarantee any work they then do on it in case the person before has damaged the phone in a way that may make their repair ineffective.

It is very annoying yes but unless you can find a repair shop that are able to fix it then it's lost, i do sympathise, years ago I bought a brand new phone which was a great and expensive model at the time, i too dropped it down the toilet but the only difference was that I flushed and the phone went with it!

I was so upset at the time and went ages without a phone but I saved up and got a better one which cheered me up even if it did take a while.

  • Way to delete useless pre-installed iPhone 4S apps? Alright, so I finally got my iPhone 4S (i know, not up to date, but it will do! And there are pre-instaled apps that I wish to get rid of to save data, save battery life, etc. The apps are stocks, maps, and weather. Surely they may be useful (well, not really stocks), but I'm only a sophomore in high school and don't need any of them as of now: P Any help is greatly appreciated! ~Jordan
