Added (1). I have been using the iPhone 3GS ever since 2010. I have broken it a few times, but just spent £30 getting a new one.
I have about 200GBs of music and to me getting a new iPhone 8GB is usually cause I'm going to have 4GBs by the time the OS and pre installed apps are on there.
I own a 32GB iPhone 3GS - White.
If I was to get an iPhone it would have to have more then 32GBs of storage space so I could put a few playlists on there.
Added (2). Is there any need to upgrade a phone?
It does what I want it to do like phone, text, surf the internet, read e-mails, even supports up to date apps.
And yes it take forever to open Facebook Messenger (about 10 minutes and crashes multiple times) but I'd rather have patients then go blow £800 or whatever crazy money on a new iPhone.
I'm just thinking of getting an iPod Classic 180GB and keep my iPhone 3GS.
For the price of a brand new iPhone, I could buy a Macbook Air!
Why not android
I had a 3GS switched to a contract to build my credit ( I have none) and figured I'd be getting a better phone. I switched to Android and regret it. Androids are great for 3 months and then they get really sluggish plus the developers fails to update it. Honestly I think my 3GS was a better phone than I have now. I have the LG optimus L9
+You won't need to spend 800 quids on new iPhone. You can spend much less and get a new iPhone 5S, at least 32GB or 64GB. You can also go for iPhone 5 64GB which will be much lesser too. There's no point in getting the iPod and keeping the old iPhone 3GS. So getting a iPhone 5 or 5S 64GB will be a better option for you. If you need iPhone 5 or 5S 64GB SIM-free cheaper than retail, mail me.
