Using iPhone 4s without cell phone service?
My older sister gave me he iphone 4s yesterday because she got the iphone 5 as a college going away gift. Can I still use the iphone without a sim card? My parents dooesnt want to add me to the family plan until January (my 14th bday). I don't want to wait until january to be able to use it.
Yes you can use it but it will not work as an iPhone. It will work as an iPod until you get a sim card.
Yea. You can still use it on your home Wi-Fi connection to access the internet, use it as a music player, or download apps and games even if it's not connected to a phone provider.
But, iPhone 4s is still worth $100-$120 dollars depending on what condition it's in. You can sell it easily at gazelle.com… So you may want to consider selling it.
As an ipod touch you can use it with Wi-Fi only.
