Verizon Customer Service/Sales?

How does verizion treat their customers? I had Verizon 2 years ago, but I wasn't the account holder so I had very little interaction with them if any. On the 10th I ordered a Iphone 5s, it won't ship out until the 28th. They didn't lower the cost any, I got a 2 year contract for 199.99 and got the cheapest plan unlimited talk and text with 500mb of data for $80 monthly. They said they can't even waive the activation fee which is $35.

With sprint its $99 for a new customer but it won't be in stock for 1 month or more

AT&T has them in stock now and it would be here in 2-5 days and its about the same price and they would waive the activation fee as well.

If I say I would cancel my order with Verizon how would they act, would they waive the activation fee, possibly offer 1gb for the same price?

With that being said how is everyone's experience with Verizon

Verizon is not much of a carrier when it comes to giving customers "sweeteners" to stay or sign up, as Verizon loves to leverage it's size (and lack of customer protection regulations) against its own customers.

I heavily doubt that anyone at Verizon would be able to waive the activation fee, and they will most certainly not try to "price match" for plan/data costs.

I used to work as a Verizon sales rep, and I found the greed in Verizon's higher ups to be disheartening.
