Verizon iPhone 5 help! Unlocking?
I have an iPhone 5 for Verizon. I was planning in using it in Tmobile. I tried putting a Sim but it doesn't even read it. I know for a fact they are factory unlocked. And yes they will work on Tmobile. But my friend sold me his phone and his service is still there but its not connected. Will restoring the phone through iTunes factory unlock it?
I work for apple and I get these questions all the time. Verizon and Sprint operate on the CMDA bandwidth. T-Mobile and AT&T uses GSM. Because these are different the antennas in the iPhone are manufactured differently and a Verizon phone will not work on T-Mobile.
- Verizon unlocking iPhone 4s? So my friend gave me an iPhone that was from Verizon because he got an upgrade. If he contacts Verizon, (still is a Verizon carrier) will they unlock the iPhone so i can use it with my ATT carrier?
- UNLOCKING IPHONE Help NEEDED? So I recently bought a second hand I Phone 5c. When i got the phone i rest it immediately. Currently I can't get past the setup stage because I don't have a sim. I was wondering, is it still possible to unlock the phone so i can use whatever sim i want in the phone?
- Unlocking iphone 5s sprint to use verizon? If I unlock my sprint iPhone 5s will I be able to insert a Verizon sim card and use Verizon services? Also if that did happen would I still be paying sprint or would I now have to pay Verizon. I do not have very good service with sprint that is why I'm asking. I don't want to pay verizons prices so I was just wondering if there was some way I could do this without getting a Verizon contract.
- Unlocking a Verizon iPhone 5s? I came across several sites that guide you through the unlocking process via iTunes to unlocking the iPhone 5s. They all seem to work for every carrier but with Verizon it unlocks but for non USA carriers. I'm confused as to I thought Verizon's iPhone 5s is unlocked but only for non US carriers. Just trying to figure out if it is indeed possible to unlock my verizon iPhone 5s? If so, what would be the best way to do so?
