Virgin Mobile or Boost Mobile?

I'm moving to Houston this summer and I'm looking for a cheaper cell phone plan. I talk, text, email, fb etc. I had virgin mobile back in 2004 and I love it and had no problem. I have a android galaxy s3 right now which I love but the battery isn't so great. I'm thinking about possibly buying an iPhone.

What I'm really looking for is reviews on virgin and boost mobile. If you have any other cheap cell phone plan carrier suggestions I'm up for that too.

I've used both those services, and I can say they are about the same. I'm not sure about Boost, but Virgin Mobile now has access to Sprint's LTE network, which makes data speeds much faster.

Price was - they will be the same initially, but Boost Mobile will be cheaper in the long run, since they deduct $5 every 6 months you make on-time payments, up to $15.

If you don't like the Sprint network, Straight Talk/Net10 use either the T-Mobile or A&T network. The plans cost $45/month for unlimited talk, text and 2.5 GB of data.

If you want Verizon, they have prepaid plans. Page Plus Cellular is a prepaid service that uses the Verizon Network, and their Unlimited talk, text, and 2.5 GB of data plan cost $55/month.

Remember, each network uses a specific frequency which only a phone built for that network can receive. That means that if you want to use the AT&T network, you need a phone that can receive their signals. A verizon/sprint phone won't work on the AT&T network and vise versa.

Only difference is the plans offered and phone selection. Both are Sprint prepaid. Coverage is identical.
