Volume bar missing on iPhone 4s?
It has done this before, but now it's constant. I dropped it in the toilet the other day, so i immediately took it out and put it into rice for a few. It seemed to be working, so I took it back out. Everything works besides the sound. When I try to listen to music externally, the volume bar is missing. It occasionally works with headphones plugged in. I've tried hooking it up to itunes, turning it off/ back on, blowing into it, but nothing works.
What should I do to get the sound to work?
I recently had this problem and its now fixed but I'm not 100% sure what fixed it. The problem is that your phone think it is connected to a dock when it isn't. Every time this happened to me I would do a hard restart (by holding the home and power buttons simultaneously until the screen goes black) but that would only fix it for about 5 minutes then it would happen again. You can try this to see if it helps. I would also suggest plugging it into an ihome or other speaker system that uses the dock connector; play music through the speaker for about 10 minutes and unplug. See what happens.
- Why doesn't my iPhone 4S volume bar don't work? Okay so I found out like three days ago that my volume doesn't work like once I try pressing on the + or - on the volume it just says ringer and it doesn't go high or low, it also doesn't work for like an app example vine or fun run, or music. I tried going to settings, general, reset, and reset all settings and its still not working.

If I try and listen to music the volume bar goes away and when I try to adjust the volume with the + and - buttons the volume bar under "ringer" is gone.
