Wait for the iPhone 6 or take my upgrade to the iPhone 5?

I have already pre-ordered my iPhone 5, but a friend has told me that the iPhone 6 may be coming out soon. (This person has nothing to do with the Apple corporation, so she is just guessing). I have an iPhone 4 right now, but all the features do not seem to be that much different besides the power of the phone. My phone should be arriving within the next week-week and a half. Should I return the phone and my upgrade when it comes to my AT&T store? I don't want to make a mistake by jumping into the iPhone 5 if the 6 may be coming out soon. I've had this iPhone 4 for two years and it has done me well.

Soon is a heavy overstatement. Expect the iPhone 6 announcement in Fall of next year and the release date any time between winter and spring of the next year. You may not want to be without a phone that long.

Normally the iPhones come out in September every year. I've had my iPhone 4S for 2 years and plan to switch to the 5s in March. So that would be your call on that one, wait until September or go ahead and upgrade now?

Can't pre-order an iPhone 5 since 2012 on the 21st September… Even more the case this year since the 5 was discontinued earlier this year. Anyhow…

( ^^ had a look at the link you provided, but that is the iPhone 5s not the 5. Oh & Apple sells that in the same configuration for $649 not $758. For that price you could get a 32GB model & save $9)

The next iPhone was rumored to come out in May… Though there's no confirmation concerning that so unless stated otherwise by Apple it is actually expected in September.

I'd go with the 5 still. Again the May release is just pure speculation at this point.

Wait for the iPhone 6

Good thing about iPhones is that they keep their value unlike copy brands, I think your be safe to sell it and get the 6 just look after it well.

If you're happy with your iPhone 4 then stick with it I guess. Usually Apple announces a new phone every fall and expect a month or two for the release date after the announcement. If you can wait that long, then do it. But if you can't, then go ahead and get the iPhone 5.

How would it be a mistake? It's just a choice, especially sinc your question says nothing about how soon the new iPhone can come out. There are rumors of Apple shortening the cycle, but even so, the early date in the blogosphere is May. Can you wait that long? If you can't, then getting a new phone isn't a mistake, it's a choice of having a good phone now at the cost of not having the top hone at some other point. Waiting means you get the better phone but not til later, and have to make do w/the older phone, which might not even last. It really depends on what matters to you.

I'd have no problem sticking w/a good phone for as long as it works.
