Water damaged iphone 3gs? The backlight won't turn on?
The phone is really dim, as in like I can't see anything unless it's held under direct light at a certain angle. I put my phone in my bra during practice today (I know, I'm dumb) and I left it out (we were on a field).It wasn't exactly raining but there was some moisture. I don't think it was completely water damaged but a lot of reasons why backlights won't turn on is because of water damage. Is there any possible way to restore the light back on? The damage is beyond the control settings. Grr…
I think you should take it to repairing centre.
Don't listen to that other idiot. What you should do is try and restore it first. Then if you are certian there's water damage you can stick a piece of paper up the head phone jack to switch off the water damage indicator. Please check youtube first because I haven't done this procedure since a few years back and things may have changed. Most likley its faulty equipment (an internal problem) It was a bug that needed to be fixed so it may not be water damage at all but apples fault.

I have tried everything for my iphone 4 to work after i dropped it down the toilet but now it has completely broken and won't switch on at all, comes up with the apple logo then disapears and keeps doing it. - Iphone 4 with cracked LCD backlight goes on and off all the time? I bought an iPhone 4 with cracked screen to fix it. After I went back home with the phone I started to notice that the backlight goes on and off by itself all the time. The phone didn't and doesn't have service so far. The screen is completely cracked and some pieces are falling apart from the screen. Also sometimes it display the same alert as when you try to shut it off although the battery is fully charged.
