Weather apps on iPhone that use current location?
What are some weather apps on the iPhone that use current location through the GPS function, so I don't have to set the city I'm in every time.
Well, for starters, the built-in weather app on the iPhone does this. Just swipe to the screen all the way on the left. If you look at the bottom, it will be identified by an arrow, not a dot. That means that it is using Location Services to determine the location. The screen will say "Local Weather" followed by the actual name of the municipality where your phone thinks it is.
The vast majority of weather apps will default to the current location.
I suggest you focus on finding a weather app that has other features that you consider interesting. The ability to present weather for your current location is not going to be a distinguishing feature.
- What iphone apps are using my current location? I was on a couple of apps but I turned the location services for those apps off. I saw the location symbol pop up by my battery symbol so how do I know what used my location?
- What weather app reads weather alerts to you? I was in the dentist today and this ladies phone went off and said "A tornado watch has been issued for your area" Her phone was in her back pocket. I want to know what app this is so I can download it. She had an IPhone. I was going to ask what it was but before I got a chance they called her in the back.
- Tech geniuses. Is there a way to fake your iPhone s location? *specifically on find my friends /location services*? Wondering if anyone can help me either 1) freeze my iPhones location at a specific spot or 2) completely fake the location (without jailbreaking my phone) I'm required to share my location at all times to my parents and need a night a feeedom.
- My iphone shows local weather, and my location is 'appletree'? This is so weird… I wish i could upload a picture. I could explain it in words tho. When I check my weather on my Iphone5 this morning. The name above local weather was 'appletree'. After a while, I checked it again, the name now changed to London ( which is right.) I just wonder what is that appletree? Is it a prank made by apple? BTW, I live in central london, and i'm so sure that, no where near my place is called appletree I have no idea what is caterpillar. Sorry mate
