What ability does my iPhone lose if unlocked?

  • Why does my iPhone constantly lose its signal? I have Verizon (6 year customer) and have had my iPhone 4s for 1 year now, however, the past month or so I will be sitting in my house on my phone with 3-4 bars loading a page on the internet or using an app requiring data and I'll just directly go to "no service" (as noted by the small "o" in place of the "3G" icon.
