What are some disadvantages of iphones? - 1

You just get TOO addicted to them.
Lol in my opinion not very healthy.

The Verizon cost is ridiculous.

They are incredibly fragile

What disadvantages? I haven't found any except that they won't make my coffee in the morning.

There are a couple of disadvantages:

Apple's claim of how really great the iPhone experience is, can be wholly enjoyed only if you use it with another Apple product (e.g. IPad, Mac). Otherwise it is only a 'regular' smartphone - dependency on its family for the claimed best smartphone user experience.
Over-dependence on iTunes - the iPhone is a smartphone. Then why does it need to rely on iTunes for interfacing with a computer? This is an obstacle in extracting maximum utility from an otherwise great phone.
No universal Bluetooth file transfer - there are times when I have to get a file (audio, video, image, etc) from my friend's phone and Bluetooth transfer seems the intuitively fast option (as opposed to Wi-Fi Direct or AirDrop), but you can't do it. Sure AirDrop lets you communicate with other Apple devices but hey, only a quarter of the world's population uses them. For the rest, you're stuck.
No default onboard file manager - Android devices have one (or can get one).
No microSD card slot/ expandable storage - This one could be a no-brainer since people would simply buy the cheapest 16 GB version and add storage via SD cards. IDevices consider the external SD card facility as hampering their otherwise Apple-esque virginity.
No 4K video recording - Competing Android phones offer this so the iPhone should've done it now in its sixth avatar - but the sensor inside it doesn't have enough horizontal resolution for 4K capture (Maybe Apple has reserved this as a key selling point for the 6S in the near future?)
Poor audio recording during video capture - the iPhone has 3 microphones onboard (which are used for noise cancellation during calls) but the device uses only a single one to record mono sound! Nokia flagships have been using dual mics to record stereo sound during video (so the idea isn't exactly new). Why can't Apple enable stereo sound recording when they equip the iPhone with (more than adequate) microphone hardware?
No FM Radio - I know people rarely use this feature on their smartphones these days (given the ample storage available for their music collection), but its good to have it as an option in times of need/ change.
Unimpressive screen/body size ratio - the Nexus 5 can fit a 5' screen in the body size of the iPhone 6 (the LG G3 fits a 5.2' screen with ultra-slim bezels!). This translates into increased bulk.

A lot of the above points are/ could be minor and workarounds can be found for them - but since competing Android phones (and even cheaper ones with decent specs) offer them, the iPhone stands to face these as its disadvantages.

Not many, I had 2 iphones now over the past 6 years and I have never had 1 problem yet.

First is Price. Removable memory card is still not an option. But If you own new iPhone, you could even install Leo Privacy Guard and make your device totally secure.

Expensive, bendable, addictive, distracting, responsible for car accidents, they keep people awake at night, they cause long queues when the next model is released, they prey on desire and the 'must have' ideal, they are responsible for the decline in other activities.

  • Why do some iPhones cost $200 and some cost $900? Is there like data forever or something on these jacked up price or are you literally buying a $900 iPhone when you can only use it for Wi-Fi? And why does it cost so much less when you get it with a service plan like AT&T?
  • What are some good phones? (not Iphones)? Please I really need a good new phone but I don't won't an Iphone. Could you please help me!
  • What are advantages & disadvantages of jailbreaking an iPhone? I have the iPhone 4s and my friend, who has the iPhone 4 jailbreak his phone like a month ago. Nothing wrong has happened to his phone but i just want to make sure if i'm making the right decision to jailbreak mine. Have any of you ever jailbroke your iPhone? If so, did it turn out to be a good thing or a bad thing? Also, if i jailbroke my iPhone 4s, would i be able to "go back?" Thanks for all your help!
  • Some things have on my iPhone are in Spanish, and some are in English? A couple weeks ago I changed my phone language to Spanish because I'm going to Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic soon so I wanted to practice my Spanish. But I changed it back a few days ago, but a lot of things are still in Spanish? Why? How do I fix it? I have iOS 11.2.6 and the iPhone 7plus if that matters any
