What are some free texting apps for the iphone that use my OWN number?
I don't want another number but the one that's on my sim card. Also the app has to be FREE!

You won't have an app that goes to your number, thats through your carrier. You can setup contact info in any apps you download and the other has to have the app installed also.

There's so such app that you can obtain without jailbreaking. For a third party app to text with YOUR phone number, it would have to have access to your phone's sms database, which Apple makes sure that it doesn't.
