What are some good social networking sites/blogging sites?

So my friend and I are looking for a new social network-type/blogging type site. Kind of like tumblr, only not that.

We used to really like tumblr awhile ago, but now that it is more popular we tend to use it less and less, because we always hear people talking about it now and it's just too… Popular and crowded for our tastes.

So now we're looking for a new social network/blog site to waste our precious time on. Here are some things we DON'T want to use:

-tumblr (of course)
-facebook
-twitter
-myspace
-google plus or whatever that is (it confused us and wasn't what we were looking for)
-instagram
-vine (the apple app)

We want something maybe not-so-popular, but where we can like be ourselves, possibly anonymously but not necessarily anonymously. Somewhere we can talk about our day and maybe post pictures and just enjoy life.

Also, feel free to include some apps in your answer if you know of good social/blog apps. However, if it's strictly an app and not a website, it has to be available for android AND apple. (I have an android phone, she has an iphone).
