What are the differences between the Droid Maxx and the Iphone 5?

I'm looking on whether to purchase the iphone 5, or the Droid maxx. The Droid looks more appealing to the eye, yet, are there any draw backs for it, as far as the technical aspect. What is better between each phone, and what do you believe i should purchase?

Get the Nexus 5, and get a prepaid SIM and plan. That's what I'm doing, and after doing the math, I'm ending up saving literally $600+ over the next two years. It comes unlocked (you can use it with any carrier) and without a contract for $349. Its the best Android phone, just as fast as the iPhone 5S, and get this, HALF the price of the iPhone without a contract. I'm serious, look up "Google Nexus 5" and you'll be set.
