What are the pros and cons of jailbreaking an iPhone 4?
I'm contemplating jailbreaking my iPhone 4 (NOT the 4S). I just would like a pros and cons list. Also, what is the best program to use in order to carry out the jailbreaking? Its on version 6.0.1.
Pros:
= All paid ones are free
= Cool wallpapers
= Sound effects when closing your phone and opening
Cons:
= Slow
= Can wreck your phone
= Freeze
= Stop
Cons are also that you have to deal with potential virus issues like other phones have, its really secure the way it is, but installing from anywhere outside of the appstore opens it up to potential malware.
Pros are free apps and get more out of the system like modifying system files
Cons are it might make it slower and sometimes it'll just randomly restart
All of it is pros but you should know that some Cydia tweaks make your iphone really slow and there's no way to correct the damage, so be careful, Personally I have installed all the tweaks that give me a better and easier user interface and fortunately non of them has made my iphone slow so I write all of them here for you: 1. NCSettings 2. Myassistive(Set for home button) 3. AirplaneScheduler(I see no reason for using Do Not Disturb) 4. CleanStatus 5. MuteIcon 6. AlarmDisplay Pro(It will also install Activator in order to work so if it didn't work install activator manually) 8.iBlacklist(I need it and it also has a feature called answer haptic that makes the phone vibrate when you initiate a call If you don't need iBlacklist you can install callvibrate instead for having that). Those technologies are 2 totally different technologies, therefore probably rendering them incompatible.
