What camera makes least noise in photos?

What camera makes least noise in photos? Has most detail and less noise. My iphone camera is very noisy. You have to zoom out from 2000 pixels to 500 in order not to see noise.

I don't know if its the same for the iphone but I have an ipod and you just go to the settings for the sound.

If you are asking about the noise in a photo caused by high ISO settings on tiny image sensors, then you have found the limits of your Iphone

Moving to a P&S camera is not going to give you much better results since their sensors are not much bigger than the one in your phone.

To reduce noise in low light, you need a camera with a larger sensor like a dSLR, SLT or EVIL camera

Here is how those sensors compare in size.

If you are willing to spend $700 for a dSLR, look at the Nikon D3200 or Canon T4i.

Go for the D4…

Iphone… Where does the word 'camera' appear in that description?

The least noise is found in both the Canon Mark 5D III and the Nikon D800.

Neither one of them has 'phone' mentioned in their description.

Lighting has a lot to do with the quality of pictures. Here are 2 links below that will show you what can be done with an iPhone 3gs. The first one is about the shoot: http://fstoppers.com/iphone it has a couple of videos of the photo shoot, showing the lighting setup, etc.

This second link: is the original photos straight from the camera (raw) and the edited version to the right of it. If you wish to see the original image in the original size, click on one of the small images, then right click on the picture and choose original. Sure there's a little noise, but not that bad for an iphone.

This will help show the importance of good lighting. If you truly understand what it takes to produce great photographs, then the results will be great, even using an iphone. It is about knowing what to do, not the camera!

I would not recommend using an iphone for photography, but it can be used to produce half decent pictures. Most DSLR cameras will have a lot less noise than your iphone especially at a low ISO, but the Nikon D3S or D4 and the Canon EOS-1D X will produce less noise at higher ISO settings. Those 3 cameras are the top of the line cameras, and are very expensive. Most any DLSR will far exceed what your iphone produces.

Best wishes

  • Why is it that every time i lightly tap my iPhones power button it makes a rattle noise? I have an iPhone 5s and i don't know why its making a noise when i gently tap the power button. (Tapping it not pressing it) I've had the screen replaced twice and Maybe that's why? But i also had a very tight case on it maybe making it loose. But i was wondering if i should take it to the carrier store and get it fixed or get a new phone (i have insurance on it). Is it normal for it to be loose?
