What cell phone company works on jailbroken iPhone?
My iPhone is jailbroken and I want it to stay that way. I want to use it for calling but which company should I use? Which one uses a sim card still?
Jailbreaking your iPhone doesn't change which carrier it works with. To do that you need to unlock your iPhone.
If you want a carrier that uses a SIM card, in the USA the main ones are AT&T and T-Mobile.
So if you already have an AT&T iPhone, it will only work with an AT&T SIM card unless you unlock it; once you've done that it will also work with a T-Mobile SIM card.
(Verizon and Sprint don't use SIM cards and their phones can't be unlocked to work with other USA carriers).
An unlock is required to use any gsm SIM card. The jailbreak alone will not do that. However if an unlock is available for your firmware version then you can use any GSM networks SIM card. In America that would mean AT&T and t-mobile and another prepaid carriers that are powered by either of those two.
- Will my iPhone factory reset if I put a different company SIM card in it to see if it works I got a sprint iPhone 5c and used it on the boost mobile network. Now I got a new phone because I hated the boost network and switched over to metro pcs. A couple days ago I put the metro pcs sim card in the iPhone and it went to the opening screen like it reset everything. So I took it out and just put the boost sim card back in it and it went back to normal. If I put the metro pcs sim card in the iPhone will it reset everything because I don't want to lose everything on my iPhone.
