Well, you can jailbreak it and unlock the phone, or just return the phone and buy an unlocked version, or the version for your carrier. I'm sure that you've figured out the part that an iPhone for a different carrier is useless for another.
You PAY and unlocking service to unlock the phone, so you can activate it on the carrier you are planning to use it on.
You need to get the phone unlocked to use it on your carrier. Since, you're not the original owner of the phone, you can't ask the carrier (it's locked to) to unlock it, you've to go third-party. If you need help with getting your iPhone factory unlocked, mail me for more info.
- Two different computers, two different iTunes.can I use the same Apple ID? I have iTunes on my computer that I use for my iPhone, and my mon just got an iPod Touch and wants me to fill it for her. I'm going to use her computer to do this, which currently does not have iTunes. Once I download iTunes, can I use my own Apple ID to download songs and apps onto her iPod? Is it possible to do that without disturbing what's on my phone, or do I have to make a whole new iTunes account for her?
- If I have a iPhone 6s, could i use more than one carrier at different times? So I'm thinking about switching to Sprint. At the moment i have a iPhone 5 with a AT&T prepaid sim in it. If I get a Sprint iPhone, would i be able to switch to my prepaid one and not get in trouble? (At&t has service at my cabin, sprint does not)
- If I buy an iphone used from another carrier ad buy a sim card from my carrier will that work? I have an iphone 4s with virgin mobile and I want an iphone 5 but all virgin mobile phones are so expensive! I looked on ebay for virgin mobile nano sim cards and they are only around 2 dollars. If I bought one of these sim cards and a used iphone 5 from another carrier would it work with my carrier?
- I bought a carrier locked ATT iPhone 5c but want to use it on T-Mobile I got a deal I couldn't pass up on an ATT iPhone 5c on Ebay, but I have T-Mobile service. Att will carrier unlock the phone if I was the original owner, but obviously I'm not. What are my options for getting it to work with T-Mobile? Is it possible to have a friend with current ATT service put their Sim in the phone and request an ATT carrier unlock acting as the phone owner? What other options do I have?
