What do i do when my iphone 4s speaker won't work?
I recently went on a trip to a lake and my phone got wet and now my speaker won't work. There's no sound. I noticed in the headphone jack that the "water" sensor had turned red. What do i do?
That happened to me once. I just put my phone in a bowl of rice. I would leave it there for about 1-2 hours or overnight if you want to be safe. Make sure the rice is covering the speakers though, or it won't work as well. Before you put it in the rice try blowing into the speakers to see if it removes some water. If neither of those work I would suggest going somewhere that could fix it. Like your carrier store, the Apple Store, or maybe even Best Buy could fix it.

If you had a warrant on the phone, and the sensor is red, that means that the warranty no longer covers your phone. And basically, it's water damaged, as you can't do anything but buy a new phone. Put it in a bag of rice. Keep it there over night. If it doesn't work within 24 hours, it's probably no good. Oh and there will be some distinctions. It's not going to work perfectly.
