What do I need to make an iphone game like spartan wars?
Hi, I want to make a game on the iphone like spartan wars. I have a little programming experience in c and a little objective c as well. I'm willing to give it my best. I want someone to break the steps for me one by one. And a little hint about how to network my game and make it a multiplayer game would be great. Do I have to have my own servers or coud I host it on another server?
This is an incredibly complex question and it will take a lot more than a little programming experience to make a game. Making mobile games takes a team of 15 experts about 4 months to complete, if you wanted to make one yourself it's going to take at least a year. You'll have to know how to create all of the artwork for the game, figure out how to get audio for the game, and a massive amount of programming and bug fixing.
Also, once the game is created you can't just leave it and make money. Games take constant updating, making sure that it keeps working on iPhones, iPads, iPods and fixing constant bugs that people will have with your game. If you want to figure this out, I suggest you get an account at gnomon.com or digital-tutors, and really train yourself.
This question can never be answered as simply as steps because if games were that easy to make, everyone would do it.
