What do people use to take selfies of themselves taking selfies?
I have to help someone take a good selfie for her profile but I can't exactly explain it. As far as I know, the front view lens only captures you and your background and the rear facing lens on the back of the phone takes a picture of what is in front of you, such as a landscape. That said, using an iPhone 4, how is it possible for someone to take a selfie that looks like there's someone taking a picture of them while they're doing it.

It depends.
If they are photo artists, they use a tripod, camera with remote shutter release, lighting which they want to use whether it is even, soft lighting or strong dramatic lighting. My artist friends who do a lot of experimenting with lighting and poses start out with some ideas of what they intend for the images final look. They mount a mirror next to the camera so they can see themselves and they make minor adjustments that can produce the best possible photo.
If they are just playing and not really attempting to produce high quality self portraits, the most of them just use a cheap mobiles or P&S cameras and hold them at arms length or aimed at a bathroom mirror
MOST PHONES NOW HAVE A OPTION So you CAN HAVE THE CAMERA TAKE A PIC ON BOTH SIDES OF PHONE… THAT BEING SAID U FLIP U CAM OPTION So IT LOOKS AT U INSTEAD OF WHAT YER LOOKING AT AND you CAN PHYSICALLY SEE YOURSELF AS you TAKE THE PIC ON THE SCREEN OF THE PHONE SAME Way you WOULD SEE A LANDSCAPE OR A FRIEND IF you WERE TAKING THEIR PIC So you CAN SEE HOW you LOOK EVEN BEFORE you SNAP THE SHOT UNLESS YER PHONE DOESN't HAVE. THAT OPTION you USE A MIRROR I GUESS… All THESE PPL TAKING PICS OF THEM SELFS IN A MIRROR WHEN THEIR PHONE PROLLY HAS THE MULTI CAM SWIVEL OPTION IS BEYOND ME READ YER MANUAL you MIGHT FIG HOW TO USE YER EQUIPMENT. OR you COULD JUST GOOGLE IT LIKE I DO IF I NEED A ANSWER I CAN't FIND IN MANUALS.
- Why isn't my Iphone (5) taking regular pictures and only able to take Selfies? When I take a picture of the object in front, the screen goes blank and the picture doesn't get taken. It then slides to the start page. When I start the camera it goes on flip mode automatically and only takes selfies. any idea what's the problem here?
- Why does the Iphone 5 Camera take such odd selfies? The photos come out looking a bit scary. Even some pics I have had taken from a distance. Like. That doesn't look like me at ALL?! And yet the mirror pics look alright even nice in my view. what is the deal. My mom said the same thing about selfies with her Iphone 5. I don't have an Iphone (or smartphone) but considering getting a newer model.
- Why do my emails delete themselves automatically? Some but not all emails I received are deleted automatically. They are not spam or junk, but they are no where to be found - not in the trash/deleted messages, inbox, junk or spam. I know I received them because they show on the iPhone notification screen, but when I click on them, they are not there at all. Can't find it on computer, yahoo web mail, or iPhone hand set. This has happened since about a week ago. Any idea why and how to fix this?
- Notes deleted on iPhone by themselves? Some of my notes are randomly deleted from my iPhone so I go to my email, send them to myself, and copy and paste them back into my notes. But then they get deleted again a few days later by themselves. My notes are connected to my Yahoo email and I don't use iCloud… Why do my notes keep on getting deleted? It's happened at least five times in the past month and it's really annoying.
