What do you recommend me to buy my new iPhone?

I'm from Mexico, I want to buy the iPhone 5s but mexican merchants make it very expensive, like 945 US Dls the iPhone 5s 32gb. I have a familiar living for a time there in US Because of business and is sending some stuff in trucks constantly. But also I want to buy it with a "Wireless service" with AT&T because without it is so expensive, do you know if here in Mexico I can "Liberate" it for a mexican carrier?

I will break this answer into two groups: 1if you have a device you CAN USE by liberating it to a mexican network and 2 if you want to buy a new device (the iphone) on a mexican network

if you wish to flash/root your phone there are tutorials, but anything you do is your own fault (this is obviously if you already have a device you CAN use)… As with one wrong click, you just destroyed your phone and it is now a useless brick and can't be fixed… (iphones are the easiest to root, but also the easiest to break) if you have a device, you need to make sure the carrier you want has a network mode that matches your phone parameters most carriers are either GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) or they are CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) if you want to get on a cdma network your phone needs to have a cdma radio, if you want a gsm network your phone needs you to obtain a sim card from that carrier…

you can't buy a device at the at&t 2-yr agreement price, cancel the line then "liberate" the phone to be used on a Mexican network… Not without paying at LEAST $550… It would probably be much, much more than that… Not to mention your credit ouch… If you wan a device you can use on a Mexican network, buy it down there, or buy an unlocked version and put it on a Mexican carrier (which may or may not be cheaper than buying it from the Mexican carriers at their ridiculous prices)
