What does having 1GB on an iphone mean?
I don't know practically anything about phones or storage. But I get a text every few months saying "you have used all of the 1GB high speed data in your T-mobile data plan. You will experience slow speeds until…" whenever I get those messages my phone is extremely slow and I can't load most websites. Can someone explain what this means, what having 1GB means and how do I avoid using it all up?
Phonea use up energy, which you pay for. When you have used up all the energy (the GBs - gigabytes) you've paid for, your phone works really slow. How you avoid using up all of you 1GB is not to down load so much and to realize the amount of energy (the gigabytes) is limited. Don't have too many apps on all the time; actually turn those ones that you don't use off. As you know, when your gigs are running low, you experience slow speeds.
1GB refers to your data allotment for the month of 4G LTE data speeds. If you go over that you will be slowed to 2G speeds.
Try using Wi-Fi wherever possible & limit your data use.
THAT 1G is NOT on your phone.
When you use your phone for things like internet and messaging, the phone company COUNTS evry byte of data you send them, every letter in a TXT, every pixel on an internet page.
And they chareg you for sending it to you.
But mopst phone companies give you SOME information free. Sounds like in you case they give you "1 GB" (one billion bytes).
But when you reach that point, they "throttle you". They turn down you speed so that you don't spend too much.
Your ONLY choice is to buy a more expensive plane that lets you have mor GB of space
Included in your monthly plan is an amount of data that you can download at high speed. You use up pieces of that data allocation whenever your phone connects to anything on the internet via the mobile phone networks. So listening to a music track could take up 4,000,000 bytes, while sending a text might just take up 100 bytes, and a single video could use up your entire 1,000,000,000 bytes of monthly data shifting!
You avoid using it all up by only accessing large data objects (music, videos, etc) over the mobile phone system and get them while you are on Wi-Fi!
Ask your carrier to explain it to your mommy or daddy, so your mommy or daddy can explain it to you.
- Will 1gb be enough for an iPhone 4s? I'd mainly be using it for Facebook and Twitter but pretty often & also searching stuff on the Internet every so often. I probably won't listen to any online music or stream any videos. I'd also connect to Wi-Fi at home for a lot of the time.
- What does this mean: Free Msg: Receiver unable to receive message - Message Blocking is active mean on iPhone's iMessage? I tried sending my friend a text and it replied with this. We haven't gotten into any fights and we hung out for hours recently. Has she blocked me?
- What does it mean if he does this? When I'm walking to the bus and my crush is to I catch him looking what I'm doing on my iPhone and I look at him back. And I notice when he sees me with the phone he takes it out and copies me like how I hold it stuff
- What does having mobile hotspot on a shared data plan mean? I really want to get either the Samsung Galaxy S III or iPhone 5 on either AT&T or Verizon. I noticed that when you get a Mobile Share/Share Everything plan, the hotspot feature is free. Does using it still come out of your data amount, or is it unlimited?
