What does it mean if a iPhone is Unlocked?
What does it mean if a iPhone is "Unlocked"…
What does it mean if an iPhone is "Locked"?
Is one better than the other, or does it depend?
Is one more expensive than the other?
I still don't really even understand what locked/unlocked mean… Cuz I'm a noob… A big old noob…
Lol, if you can explain this to me, it would be greatly appreciated!
Unlocked
Unlocked iphone can be used with all carriers that use sim cards.
A locked phone means that it is locked onto one network (e.g 3) and the only sim cards that will work in the phone is 3 sim cards, an unlocked phone means you can use the phone on any network allowing you to use witch ever sim card you like, although there are ways to unlock a locked phone just Google it, i would say having a unlocked phone i better as if you decide to change network then you don't have to buy a new phone, they are both the same price depending on where you get them from, hope this helped.
It can mean a couple of different things, here is the most common one. If you are trying to buy a phone from somewhere online like amazon then it will say locked or unlocked. Locked means that once you buy that phone for the listed price then you must take it to your phone company and pay a fee around $10 so that it may be used with that phone service. Unlocked means that it is already ready to be used with any phone sevice.
What does it mean if a iPhone is "Unlocked"?
>> you can use any network simcard with an unlocked iphone.
What does it mean if an iPhone is "Locked"?
>> it will work only with the locked network simcard
yes unlocked one is expensive then the locked one.
- Why are used iPhones so expensive? What does unlocked mean? I just sold my 2 year old iphone 4 for $240 on eBay. Why are they selling so high? What do they do with them?
- What does unlocked really mean? I want to get an iPhone but without buying a data plan, so I was considering finding an unlocked iPhone and activating it on my plan. However, I'm realizing that I don't exactly understand the concept of "unlocked"… LOL. So can someone help me out and explain what it means to have an unlocked iPhone? And jailbroken. I don't get that either.
- What does this mean: Free Msg: Receiver unable to receive message - Message Blocking is active mean on iPhone's iMessage? I tried sending my friend a text and it replied with this. We haven't gotten into any fights and we hung out for hours recently. Has she blocked me?
