What does it mean if the camera on my iPhone has a little red dot in it? Is this normal?
I purchased an iPhone 5s a couple of days ago and as I was using it one night in the dark and I noticed a red dot in the camera. This has really spooked me because I think I'm being watched, please tell me what you think about it.

Seriously, it's called a proximity sensor. It senses when your face is near the phone during a phone conversation. Don't worry, it's harmless.
- Why is there a red dot on my iphone? So i didn't notice till today that there's a red dot next to the front speaker under the camera on my 5s i've never seen it until today, i couldnt help but notice that when i don't touch the screen the light gets dim but when i do touch it the light, lights up again. I've read some reviews & some have said it shouldnt be able to be seen with the naked eye. Any help on what this little red dot is?
- What does this little icon mean? The little icon right above "Books" in the status bar thingy, it always appears when I'm backing up my iPhone, I've clicked it but I'm not sure what it does. Someone care to tell me?
- What does this blue dot next to my apps mean? What seems like at random, a little blue dot appears next to the name of the app on my iphone. It disappears after I venture into the app. I want to know what it means.
- What does the little circle mean on my Sprint IPhone 5? For the past few days I've had a little tiny circle in the top left hand corner of my IPhone 5 instead of the 3G. My phones been slow, doesn't connect to the internet and doesn't refresh. It's really bothering me. I've turned the IPhone off & on & that didn't help. I've tried connecting to Wi-Fi, going into my settings to fix it but nothing seems to work.
