What does it mean when a girl says maybe to hang out?

So I started talking to this girl the day before I went on a 8 day vacation and she seemed really interested so I asked her if she wanted to hang out the weekend I got back but on Saturday she was at a concert and worked on the next Sunday and that following week which was last week she worked everyday and she told me that before I asked her so we still talked but I kind of seemed she has became less interested but every time I text her she responds with hey. And then tonight I asked her if she still wanted to and she said oh yeah! Maybe! And I responded and said ok! Just tell me when you would want to if you do! And I know she opened it cause we both have iPhones and hasn't responded in 20 min sounds creepy haha but should I just straight up ask her what maybe means or just give up

You are never going to know unless you ask her! Ask her. Give her a definite plan --- movies, park, whatever. And then she'll say yes or no. She might be saying maybe because she doesn't want to outright say yes when you haven't proposed a plan!

It means she's not sure she wants to hang out with you. She's afraid it will be a waste of time.

The best way to make her certain it will be a good time is to tell her exactly where you'll take her. Make it sound fun, even if you're not sure where you wanna go. Send a text like this:

"Yo gangsta, when are we gonna go on

This will strike an emotion, no matter what kind of girl she is. This text is funny and it's definitely gonna get a response. Once she responds, you can continue playing the part or smoothly transition into whatever you wanna talk about. Ideally, a date.
