What does it mean when an iPhone 6 screen is asking for a 6 digit passcode when it only needed in the past/you only have a 4 digit passcode?

Try putting 00 before the old pass code.
Sounds like someone changed the 4 digit to a 6 digit requirement without you knowing.

I have 1 email account 1 domain but a PC a Laptop and a mobile device (Iphone) I need to sync all 3 of these devices with this email account using outlook on office 365, can anyone shed some light in the matter, also what is MS exchange, I quite didn't get what is it for. My main problem is that I do not see the sent items from each device, only the received ones. And the sent items are only accessible from the device used to send them.

- Iphone asking me for a passcode to install update. I never set up a passcode. Options? I just tried to update my iphone to 7.1.1 and i'm being asked for a passcode. I never set one up, but entered what I would have made it, and now have a message saying "FAILED. One more attempt". What happens if I get this final attempt wrong? How do I continue with update if I can't remember this passcode?
